U-TURN CONSIGNMENT T’S & C’S

This Consignment Agreement is entered into between the undersigned consignor and U-Turn, a registered non-profit organisation, collectively referred to as the “Parties”. By submitting item(s) for consignment, the Client agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. Product Review and Acceptance All items must first be reviewed and accepted by the U-Turn team.

Once approved, the Client is responsible for delivering the item(s) to the Tygerberg Warehouse. Only              items in good, clean, and resalable condition will be accepted.

2. Pricing and Discounts

U-Turn will set the initial selling price based on fair market value. After 60 days, unsold items will be automatically discounted by 20%. If the item remains unsold after 3 months, the Client has two options:

– Collect the item from the Tygerberg Warehouse, OR

– Allow U-Turn to apply a 50% discount to encourage final sale.

3. Commission Structure

Upon the sale of an item, the proceeds will be split as follows:

Clothing, shoes, and accessories:

– 60% to the Client

– 40% to U-Turn

Furniture:

– 80% to client

– 20% to U-Turn

Payouts will be made weekly to the banking details provided during the consignment process.

4. Duration of Agreement

U-Turn will manage consigned item(s) for up to 3 months from the date of listing. If the Client does not collect item(s) after 3 months and declines the 50% discount option, U-Turn reserves the right to donate or dispose of the items.

5. Liability

While all reasonable care will be taken, U-Turn is not liable for loss, theft, or damage of items while in storage or on display. Consigned items remain the property of the Client until sold.

6. Client Responsibilties

The Client agrees to:

– Deliver approved item(s) to the Tygerberg Warehouse only once approved.

– Collect unsold item(s) within the agreed timeframe.

– Keep contact and banking details up to date for communication and payment purposes.

7. Agreement Acceptance

By signing below, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by all the terms and conditions stated in this Agreement.
